Scott Named to Advancement of Blacks in Sports Football Coaches Watchlist

BALDWIN, N.Y. - Advancement of Blacks in Sports (ABIS) the voice of racial equity in sports, is honored to reveal the coaches to watch in college and professional football. West Virginia University running backs coach Chad Scott was included in this year's group of seven head coaches and 21 assistant coaches.
ABIS Founder & CEO, Gary Charles leads the selection committee. Coaches are nominated by their peers and others within the football ecosystem. "We are proud to be a part of creating this Watchlist for these well-deserving coaches," said Charles.
This is the fourth year of the ABIS Coaches Watchlist. It has become a great resource for sports executives, athletic administrators and search firms. Three highlights from the list of coaches are the Philadelphia Eagles land 3 coaches on the list; Marcus Freeman (Notre Dame) is the first Black Head Coach to lead a team to the FBS National Championship game and T.C. Taylor (Jackson State) leads school to its first Celebration Bowl win. Celebrating Black excellence in sports is what drives ABIS to showcase these coaches and present the Watchlist each year.
