MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Senior guard
Jordan Harrison of the West Virginia University women's basketball team has earned a spot on the 2025-26 Preseason All-Big 12 Team, the conference announced Thursday.
Additionally, the Mountaineers were selected to finish fifth in the preseason poll. League coaches voted on the awards and poll and were not allowed to vote for their own team.
The Preseason All-Big 12 selection is the first of Harrison's career. She has been named to the Big 12 All-Conference team in each of her first two seasons with the Mountaineers and to the all-defensive team in 2024.
During her junior campaign, Harrison established herself as one of the nation's premier point guards and was named to the Nancy Lieberman Point Guard of the Year Preseason Watchlist.
Additionally, Harrison racked up a career-high of 13.7 points per game while adding 148 assists to average 4.5 per game. She finished with 20 or more points in a game eight times and hit double figures in 23 games.
A native of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Harrison averaged 13.6 points, 3.7 rebounds, 4.9 assists and 2.5 steals per game for her career. Her steals per game rank inside the program's top 10 at No. 6 and her 167 total steals are just outside the top 20 at No. 21 after just two seasons of work.
TCU was selected as the favorite in the league's preseason poll, while Iowa State's Audi Crooks was named the Conference's Preseason Player of the Year.
2025-26 league action is set to commence Saturday, Dec. 20. The regular season will be followed by the 2026 Phillips 66 Big 12 Women's Basketball Tournament, which will take place in Kansas City's T-Mobile Center for the third consecutive season. The event is scheduled to take place from March 4-8/9.
