MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Redshirt sophomore
Ty Watters of the West Virginia University wrestling team will compete in the 2025 National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) All-Star Classic at Jersey Mike's Arena in Piscataway, New Jersey, on Nov. 1.
Watters will face Stanford's Daniel Cardenas at 157 pounds. Watters makes his second appearance at the All-Star Classic after competing in the event last season. He lost to Penn State's Shayne Van Ness, 16-4.

Peyton Hall were the first Mountaineers to compete in the All-Star Classic since 2015. This is the first time West Virginia has had a wrestler competing in back-to-back All-Star Classics since Greg Jones competed in three consecutive seasons (2003-05).
