MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University wrestling team was named a Scholar All-America Team by the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) as announced on Thursday.
The Mountaineers posted a 3.45 GPA to earn the honor for the first time since 2021. West Virginia also had eight wrestlers named NWCA Scholar All-Americans for the 2024-25 season.
This marks the most Mountaineers honored as NWCA Scholar All-Americans in program history. West Virginia has had five consecutive years with at least three NWCA Scholar All-Americans.
