Taylor White of the West Virginia University women's soccer team has been named the WVU Student-Athlete of the Week, presented by University Apartments.
White's brace marked her third of the season as she tallied both goals in the final 10 minutes of the match to help WVU seal the come-from-behind victory. After the Mountaineers went down 2-1 in the 80th minute, White put the team on her shoulders and responded to UH's score just 30 seconds later. Following the equalizer, she tallied the go-ahead, game winner in the 83rd minute.
A native of Cincinnati, Ohio, White leads the team with eight goals, seven assists and 23 points this season. She ranks No. 5 in the Big 12 in total goals and goals per game (0.62).
