MORGANTOWN, W.Va. –
The No. 25-ranked West Virginia University women's soccer team caps its three-game homestand when it plays host to Houston on Friday, Oct. 10. Kickoff at Dick Dlesk Soccer Stadium in Morgantown is slated for 7 p.m. ET.
It's Fan Appreciation Night, and West Virginia will celebrate its loyal fans for their incredible support all season long. The first 200 fans will receive a raffle ticket for a chance to claim an exclusive WVU coffee mug, redeemable at the marketing table after the game.
Single-game tickets are available to purchase in advance by visiting
WVUGAME.com or calling 1-800-WVU GAME. When purchasing online, tickets are $10 each. Any remaining tickets are $12 for adults and $8 for youth and seniors at the stadium ticket window on match day.
WVU student tickets also will be made available at the Mountaineer Ticket Office, located at Dick Dlesk Soccer Stadium. The office, as well as the stadium gates, opens at 6 p.m., on game day. WVU students are admitted for free with a valid WVU Student I.D.

Friday's matchup marks the third all-time meeting between West Virginia and Houston, and the all-time series is tied at 1-1. WVU and UH last met in the regular-season finale on Oct. 25, 2024, with the Mountaineers coming away with a 4-1 win. West Virginia's offense was firing on all cylinders in last year's win, with
Taylor White scoring a brace and
Ajanae Respass and
Abbey Olexa also adding goals in the victory. Of note, Friday's contest will be the first game in the series played in Morgantown.
Last time out, West Virginia earned a 2-0 win over Arizona State at Dick Dlesk Soccer Stadium on Oct. 5.
Maddie Levy and
Sophia Nickel tallied scores in the win, while Levy's goal was marked as the game winner. Respass and
Anna Hauer were credited with assists on Levy's score. West Virginia outshot Arizona State, 14-6, including 4-1 in shots on goal. The WVU defense collected its eighth shutout of the season, as it held ASU to just one shot on goal in the match.
White leads the team with six goals, seven assists and 19 points on the year. She ranks No. 3 in the Big 12 and No. 17 nationally in assists per game (0.58), as well as No. 5 in the league in total points.
Ben Williams is in his first season as the head women's soccer coach at Houston after being hired to lead the program in February 2025. The Cougars enter Friday's matchup with a 6-2-4 record so far in 2025, as the squad is coming off a 1-0 loss to Utah on Oct. 5. Samira Minor leads the offense so far this season with four goals and 11 points, while Lexi Gonzalez has registered 17 saves on the year.
