
No. 20 West Virginia Faces No. 23 Missouri in Big 12 Clash

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The No. 20 West Virginia University wrestling team faces No. 23 Missouri in its fifth-straight match against a ranked opponent on Sunday, Jan. 26, at 1 p.m. ET on UFC Fight Pass at Mizzou Arena in Columbia, Missouri.

"We have been competing hard and we want to see this continue," head coach Tim Flynn said. "We have another ranked opponent this weekend and a tough place to wrestle. We cant wait."
West Virginia (8-4, 2-3 Big 12) is coming off a loss to No. 3 Oklahoma State, 30-12, on Jan. 19.
Senior No. 10 Jett Strickenberger was recently named Big 12 Wrestler of the Week after he defeated Oklahoma's No. 23 Antonio Lorenzo and Oklahoma State's No. 4 Troy Spratley. Strickenberger has defeated four ranked opponents in a row in the 125-pound weight class.
Fifth-year No. 3 Peyton Hall leads the Mountaineers at 22-0 overall this season. Hall is just six wins away from tying Greg Jones for the most wins in program history at 128.
In this week's individual rankings from FloWrestling, West Virginia has four wrestlers ranked. Along with Hall and Strickenberger, redshirt sophomore Brody Conley (174) is ranked No. 30 and redshirt senior Dennis Robin (184) is No. 21.
In the first edition of the coaches' rankings for the 2025 NCAA Division I Wrestling Championships, Hall, Conley and Robin were each ranked in their respective weight classes.
Hall debuted at No. 3, Conley is at No. 27 and Robin is at No. 17.
