MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Game week is finally here!
West Virginia entertains No. 8 Penn State before an overflow crowd inside a striped Milan Puskar Stadium this Saturday at high noon.
Fans wanting to know whether to wear their gold or blue based on seat section can access the Stripe the Stadium chart here.
The Fox Big Noon Kickoff Crew is already in town setting up at Almost Heaven Village in preparation for its live show beginning at 10 a.m. on Saturday morning. Fans wanting to participate in the show can enter the space starting at 9 a.m.
Rally towels, presented by Coca-Cola, will be distributed to all fans attending the game and two F-16 Viper Jets out of Shaw Air Force Base in South Carolina are scheduled to do the pregame flyover.
Hall of Fame coach Don Nehlen's outstanding Mountaineer squad that defeated Penn State 17-14 here in 1984 will be recognized during the game.
West Virginia's media schedule this week began earlier today with select players, coach Neal Brown and coordinators Jordan Lesley and Chad Scott visiting with reporters in the Milan Puskar Center Team Room.
Those interviews are now available on WVUsports.com and West Virginia's official YouTube channel WVUSports.
Coach Neal Brown's United Bank Playbook and game preview will post on WVUsports.com early Wednesday afternoon.
A day later, on Thursday evening, Mountaineer fans can catch the coach on his weekly Neal Brown Radio Show, live from Kegeler's, beginning at 6 p.m. on stations throughout West Virginia, online via WVUsports.com and the popular Varsity Network and WVU Gameday apps.
The show lasts two hours and is hosted by play-by-play man Tony Caridi, beginning his 40th season with the Mountaineer Sports Network.
Friday, former WVU and NFL standout performer Pat McAfee will be hosting his popular Pat McAfee Show live outside the Life Sciences Building on the downtown campus from noon to 3 p.m. His daily show airs until 2 p.m. on ESPN2 with the final hour streaming on YouTube.
"We are very excited Pat is bringing his show to Morgantown on Friday. Mountaineers everywhere are proud of Pat and his success," said Wren Baker, University vice president and director of athletics. "We are truly grateful for his unbridled passion for his alma mater and his desire to bring attention to WVU, Morgantown and West Virginia."
