MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Swimmers from the West Virginia University men's and women's swimming and diving teams finished competition at the 2024 TYR Pro Swim Series in San Antonio on Saturday.
West Virginia was represented by eight swimmers including
Ada Szwabinska,
Danny Berlitz,
Roanoke Shirk,
Conner McBeth,
Braden Osborn,
Ivan Puskovitch,
William Mullen and
Justin Heimes.
The Mountaineers entered the week with the focus to qualify for the 2024 Olympic Trials. The highlight of the meet came when Szwabinska tied a program record in the 50-meter freestyle event with a final time of 25.97.
Berlitz performed well in his events as he competed in the A final of the 400-meter individual medley event. Berlitz placed fifth with a final time of 4:20.93 on April 12.
The Olympic Trials will take place from June 15-23, at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.

Up next, West Virginia will host an Olympic Trial qualifier event from April 18-21, at the Aquatic Center at Mylan Park in Morgantown.
