MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (Nov. 18, 2024) – The No. 13-ranked West Virginia University women's basketball welcomes Bowling Green to the WVU Coliseum in the Mountaineers fifth straight home game to open the season on Tuesday.
Tipoff against the Falcons is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET, and gates open at 6 p.m. Tuesday's contest against Bowling Green will be broadcast live on the Mountaineer Sports Network, including 100.9 WZST-FM, with Andrew Caridi on the call. Fans also can listen to the game on the Varsity Network App.
Additionally, Tuesday's game will be broadcast on ESPN+, with Alex Wiederspiel and Warren Baker on the call. Live stats and game notes are available on WVUsports.com.
Tickets for the contest can be purchased at WVUGAME.com or by visiting the Mountaineer Ticket Office, located inside the Gold Gate of the WVU Coliseum. The contest will serve as Senior Ditch Night. All senior groups of 10 or more who are 60+ will get group admission prices to the game. Those attending the game will receive a WVU women's basketball branded coffee cup.
The matchup will be the third all-time meeting between WVU (4-0) and Bowling Green (2-2). It is the first meeting since 1997 as WVU is a perfect 2-0 in the series and 1-0 inside the WVU Coliseum.
West Virginia has now won 32 straight nonconference home contests dating back to the 2017-18 season.
Mark Kellogg is also a perfect 14-0 in nonconference games as head coach of the Mountaineers.
Bowling Green enters the contest off a 92-41 win over St. Bonaventure on Saturday and snapped a two game losing streak. Amy Velasco paces the Falcons with 20.3 points per game and adds 4.5 assists. Taya Ellis is averaging 10.5 rebounds this season.

The Big 12's leaders in steals last season, Quinerly (13), Harrison (13) and Watson (12), are at it again this season averaging over three steals a game.
The Mountaineers have produced four straight 20-plus turnovers forced performances to open the season as the mark ranks third in the nation and first among power four programs. The Mountaineers have forced 30-plus turnovers in three games. WVU ranks seventh in the nation with 17.3 steals per game and holds a +20 turnover margin.
WVU leads the Big 12 Conference in points per game (90) and scoring margin (+40.5) across it's first four games.
