MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Sophomore Marcus Caldeira of the West Virginia University men's soccer team has been named a First-Team Academic All-American by College Sports Communicators, as announced by the organization on Tuesday.
On the field this season, Caldeira was tied for the team lead and 16th in the country with 12 goals while also adding three assists. He helped the Mountaineers get off to a strong start in 2023 as he scored seven goals in the first six games before having the best individual performance of the season for a WVU player when he scored a hat trick against No. 1 Marshall.
