MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – It's going to be a memorable two days of sports in Morgantown this weekend.
On Saturday, during West Virginia's game against Cincinnati at Milan Puskar Stadium, West Virginia will officially immortalize Hall of Fame coach Don Nehlen by permanently putting his name on the façade in the Diversified Energy Terrace.
Then, on Sunday, the fifth-seeded West Virginia University men's soccer team will play host to Louisville in an NCAA Tournament second round match at Dick Dlesk Stadium.
Andrew Caridi caught up with senior midfielder Ryan Baer, playing his 69th career match for the Mountaineers, to get his thoughts on West Virginia's historic season and its hopes of making its first-ever College Cup appearance.
Also, West Virginia University president Gordon Gee offers his thoughts on Nehlen's fabulous coaching career. Gee was also WVU president during a portion of Nehlen's coaching career in the early 1980s.
Be sure to tune in to Andrew and the gang Saturday morning on the GoMart Mountaineer Tailgate Show beginning at 11:30 a.m. on many stations throughout West Virginia, online via WVUsports.com, and the popular WVU Gameday app.
Don't forget, all Mountaineer Insider Podcasts are available on SoundCloud, iTunes, Google Play, Stitcher, iHeartRadio Podcasts, Apple Podcasts and many other popular podcasting services.
