Adams Earns Big 12 Wrestler of the Week

IRVING, Texas – West Virginia's Noah Adams has been named the Big 12 Wrestler of the Week for Week 11. Adams is the first repeat honoree of the season as he claimed the honor on Dec. 31.
Adams extended his winning stream to 24-straight matches after earning a pair of wins over ranked Big 12 foes. He began the week with a victory over No. 19 Dakota Geer of Oklahoma State, needing just 1:07 to secure the pin and give the Mountaineers their first win of the match. He closed the week with his eighth win over a ranked opponent in a 6-1 decision over No. 13 Jake Woodley of Oklahoma.
The No. 2 ranked wrestler in the 197-pound weight class, Adams is 24-0 on the season and 11-0 in dual matches. He is 3-0 against Big 12 opponents in duals with all three wins coming over a ranked opponent.
