The West Virginia University women's soccer closes nonconference play as it welcomes Bowling Green on Sunday, Sept. 22. Kickoff at Dick Dlesk Soccer Stadium is set for 1 p.m. ET.

Sunday's match will be the annual Youth Soccer Day. Fans who wear a youth soccer jersey will earn free admission, and a free post game clinic for children ages 12 and under will follow the match. The Mountaineers will Lace Up 4 Pediatric Cancer and don gold shoelaces during the match to raise money for WVU Medicine Children's.
Fans are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance by visiting WVUGAME.com to avoid lines at the gate on game day. When purchasing online, tickets are $5 each and $3 for groups of 10 or more. All tickets are general admission.
At the stadium ticket window, tickets are $7 for adults, $5 for youth and seniors and $3 for groups on game day. The discounted online pricing will be available until kickoff of the match.
WVU students are admitted for free with a valid WVU Student I.D.
Sunday's match marks the fifth meeting between the Mountaineers and the Falcons. WVU holds a 4-0 advantage in the series after earning a 3-0 win in the last meeting in 2010. West Virginia has outscored BGSU 17-0 in the previous four meetings. The Mountaineers are 15-2-1 against current members of the Mid-American Conference after defeating Buffalo, 2-0, in 2016.

Nikki Izzo-Brown said. "They didn't play this week, so we know we are going to have our hands full on Sunday. These next couple of games are really important and we just need to keep controlling what we need to control and doing our job."
The Mountaineers enter the contest with a 4-3-1 record after topping Fairleigh Dickinson on Friday at Dick Dlesk Soccer Stadium. Sophomores
Jordan Brewster and
Isabella Sibley and scored a goal in the win. The WVU defense earned its third clean sheet of the season against the Knights as senior goalkeeper
Rylee Foster earned her 34th career shutout. West Virginia earned a season-high 32 shots and tied a season-high with 14 shots on goal. The Mountaineers held FDU to three shots in the contest, marking the sixth time this season WVU has held its opponents to five shots or less in a match.

Sunday's match marks the final scheduled nonconference match of the regular season for the Mountaineers. WVU is 4-3-1 this season against teams outside of the Big 12 and boasts a record of 203-72-31 against nonconference opponents in program history.
Bowling Green enters the contest with a 2-3-2 record this season. The Falcons are coming off a week's rest after earning a 1-1 draw against DePaul last Sunday, Sept. 14. The match against DePaul was the fourth overtime match in the first seven matches of the season. Reigning MAC Offensive Player of the Week, Nikki Cox leads the Falcons with nine points (three goals, three assists) in 2019.
Two-time MAC Coach of the Year (2017 and 2018) Matt Fannon is in his third season at the helm after leading the Falcons to a MAC Tournament Championship and a NCAA Tournament appearance in 2018. Fannon's ties with the Mountain State go back to his collegiate playing career, where he was a two-time first team all-region selection at Davis & Elkins College (Elkins, West Virginia).
