WVU Travels to Kentucky Sunday

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University men's soccer team continues its spring exhibition slate at Kentucky, with kickoff moved to Sunday, March 31, at 3 p.m. ET, in Lexington, Kentucky.
The match was originally scheduled for Saturday at 7 p.m., but the contest was moved back a day due to inclement weather expected in the Lexington area.
Sunday will be a matchup of two 2018 conference champions and NCAA Tournament teams. WVU won the Mid-American Conference regular-season crown and reached the tournament's second round, while UK claimed the Conference USA title and advanced to the Elite Eight.
Up next, West Virginia plays its first of two home matches on Saturday, April 6, at 2 p.m., vs. Liberty. Admission will be free for all fans at Dick Dlesk Soccer Stadium.
WVU's second home contest is the annual Alumni Match, on April 26, at 7 p.m., at Dick Dlesk Soccer Stadium.
The Mountaineers are coming off an impressive 2018 campaign. WVU finished the year with a 14-7-0 record and a perfect 5-0-0 mark in MAC play. West Virginia was one of two teams nationally to go unbeaten and untied in conference play. The 14 wins were its most since 2007 and one shy of the program record of 15, set in 2006. The Mountaineers were ranked in the top 25 in each of the major polls' final rankings last season and came in as high as No. 17 by Soccer America.
