Last spring, the departure of spur safety
Kyzir White to the NFL forced veteran defensive coordinator
Tony Gibson to find a new quarterback for his defense.
Well, he's found one in senior
Dravon Askew-Henry, whose four-year tour of West Virginia's defense has also included stops at free safety and spur safety.
Askew-Henry has been up to the task so far by leading the Mountaineer defense to a pair of impressive early-season outings against Tennessee and Youngstown State.
Hurricane Florence will keep Askew-Henry and his teammates from performing this weekend at NC State, but they will be back in action next Saturday afternoon at Milan Puskar Stadium when Kansas State comes to town for the Big 12 opener.
In the meantime, be sure to check out senior producer
Chris Ostien's Life as a Mountaineer feature on Askew-Henry, presented by Panhandle Cleaning & Restoration.
