Mountaineers Jump 2 Spots in Coaches Poll

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – West Virginia jumped two spots in this week's Amway coaches poll to No. 15 and held steady at No. 14 in this week's Associated Press Top 25 Poll, both released on Sunday.
The Mountaineers improved to 2-0 following their 52-17 victory over Youngstown State last Saturday night at Milan Puskar Stadium.
WVU dumped Tennessee, 40-14, in impressive fashion at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte on Saturday, Sept. 1 in its season opener.
Preparations are now underway for Saturday's game at 2-0 N.C. State, which defeated Georgia State, 41-7, last Saturday in Raleigh. The Wolfpack held off James Madison, 24-13, in their season opener, also at Carter-Finley Stadium, on Saturday, Sept. 1.
This Saturday's game will kick off at 3:30 p.m. and will be televised nationally on ESPNU.
