Men’s Soccer Promotion Schedule Unveiled

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Giveaways, Friday Night Happy Hour and theme nights highlight the promotional schedule for the West Virginia University men's soccer team's 2018 home slate.
As the team hosts its first home game on Friday night, this season's promotional schedule includes two Dollar Nights, the return of the popular Touch-A-Truck event and Youth Soccer Day with post match autographs.
A complete rundown of the promotional schedule can be found on WVUsports.com/promotions. Tickets for all nine home matches are available at WVUGAME.com. Kickoff for each contest is set for 7 p.m. ET, at Dick Dlesk Soccer Stadium.
WVU's home opener is set for this Friday, Aug. 31, against American. It is a Dollar Night, with tickets and select concession items available for just $1. It also is the first Friday Night Happy Hour, from 6-7 p.m., with beverages not included in the Dollar Night promotion half-off. Additionally, the first 250 fans will receive a free WVU jersey koozie.
Saturday, Sept. 15 is Scout Night when the Mountaineers host St. Francis (Pa.) at 7 p.m. Scouts who wear their Boy/Girl Scout badges will receive free admission. The match also is an opportunity for Kids Club members to pick up their t-shirts.
Three days later, WVU hosts Cincinnati, on Tuesday, Sept. 18. It is the first Taco Tuesday of the season, with $2 walking tacos. It also is Greek Life Night, while the Maniacs will have a giveaway for WVU students.
Taco Tuesday returns on Tuesday, Sept. 25, vs. Radford. The match also is Monongalia County School Night, where the Mountaineers will recognize elementary and middle school students from schools in the county during halftime.
Youth Soccer Day is set for Saturday, Sept. 29, vs. Delaware, with several events planned. Kids who wear their youth team jersey will receive free admission, and the team will host a free pre-game clinic for all children ages 13 and under. All fans can get autographs from the team following the match and the Maniacs will have a giveaway for WVU students.
Tuesday, Oct. 2, vs. Binghamton is Dollar Night, with $1 tickets and select concession items. It also is Club Sports Night, where there will be a wings eating contest during halftime between different club team's captains.
The Mountaineers host Mid-American Conference foe SIU Edwardsville on Saturday, Oct. 20. It is Military and First Responders Night, where military or first responders can show their ID and receive free admission. A Touch-A-Truck event will take place outside of DDSS, with various first responders vehicles on site. Additionally, it is Kids Club Day, with activities including balloon animals and face painting.
The Backyard Brawl is on Tuesday, Oct. 23, as WVU hosts Pitt. The match is part of Mountaineer Week, and there will be a Maniacs giveaway for students and a student raffle for a sideline pass to the Baylor football game. The match also is the final Taco Tuesday of the season, with $2 walking tacos.
The regular-season slate at home concludes with a Senior Night matchup vs. Bowling Green on Friday, Oct. 26. It is Friday Night Happy Hour, from 6-7 p.m., with half-off beverages, and the first 100 fans will receive a WVU men's soccer seat cushion. Prior to the contest, the Mountaineers will honor their seniors.
WVU soccer scarf ticket packages are on sale. In its fourth year, the scarf ticket package includes a scarf and 10 tickets to be used at any men's or women's soccer match during the 2018 regular season. Packages are just $30 and are available while supplies last. To order, visit WVUGAME.com or call 1-800-WVU GAME. Scarf ticket packages can only be purchased online or over the phone.
Single match tickets also are on sale for all eight regular-season home matches. Tickets are available at WVUGAME.com or by calling 1-800 WVU GAME. Fans are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance by visiting WVUGAME.com to avoid lines at the gate on game day. When purchasing in advance online, tickets are $5 each and $3 for groups of 10 or more. All tickets are general admission. At the stadium ticket window, tickets will be $7 for adults, $5 for youth and seniors and $3 for groups on game day. The discounted online pricing will be available until kickoff of the match.
