MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – West Virginia University women's soccer coach Nikki Izzo-Brown announced today that forward Aiyana Lauderman will join the Mountaineers this fall.
A Parkersburg native, Lauderman joins senior defender Amanda Saymon (Bridgeport) as one of two West Virginia natives on the Mountaineers' 2018 roster.
"We are excited to welcome Aiyana to the WVU women's soccer family," Izzo-Brown said. "Aiyana will be a great addition to the team, and I am really looking forward to working with her. She is motivated to represent her great state of West Virginia and help us push forward with our goal of winning championships."
A team captain at Parkersburg South in 2017, Lauderman led the Patriots to the sectional championship and an appearance in the regional final. She paced the Patriots in 2017 with 21 goals and was named the 2017 Parkersburg South Midfielder of the Year. Lauderman ended the year with All-State First Team honors and also was named to the All-Conference and All-TRAC teams in back-to-back seasons (2016, 2017).
A member of West Virginia FC 98 Black, Lauderman is a four-time West Virginia State Cup champion and a four-time U.S. Youth Soccer Regional League participant.
The daughter of Aaron Lauderman and Alicia Mascioli, Lauderman has one brother. She will enroll in undergraduate studies at WVU.
