
Big 12 Championship Seeds, Schedule Announced

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University baseball team has earned the No. 7 seed at the 2018 Phillips 66 Big 12 Baseball Championship and will begin postseason play against second-seeded Oklahoma State in the opening round on Wednesday, May 23, at 5 p.m. ET/4 p.m. CT, in Oklahoma City.
The annual event will once again be held at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark from May 23-27. Every game will be broadcast on FOX College Sports, with the exception of Sunday's championship game, which will be televised on FOX Sports Networks. All games also will be available on FOX Sports GO to subscribers.
The Mountaineers (27-25, 9-15 Big 12) have advanced to the Big 12 Championship semifinals in each of the last two seasons, with a championship game appearance in 2016.
WVU opens the postseason against Oklahoma State (29-22-1, 16-8 Big 12). The winner of the WVU-OSU game will play the winner between No. 3 Texas Tech and No. 6 TCU on Thursday, May 24, at 8:30 p.m. ET. In the double-elimination tournament, the losers of the two games on Wednesday will face off on Thursday at 1:30 p.m. ET.
On the other side of the bracket on Wednesday, top-seeded Texas will face No. 8 Kansas at 1:30 p.m. ET, and No. 4 Oklahoma opens against No. 5 Baylor at 10 a.m. ET.

All-session tickets for the event start as low as $69 and total 15 games, including the if necessary games on Saturday. The championship will feature a total of eight sessions, all of which include two games except for Sunday's championship finale at 2 p.m. ET.
Additionally, group tickets for parties of 10 or more start at just $12 per ticket and include an in-game scoreboard message on the centerfield video board.
There will be three theme nights at the ballpark this season, starting with the Tailgate Party on the Mickey Mantle Plaza from 3-6 p.m. on Thursday, May 24. Future All-American Night will take place on Friday, May 25. After the completion of the last game, fans can stay to watch fireworks. Lastly, Sunday, May 27, will be Big 12 Family Day.
