
Updated: White Extends WVU's NFL Draft Streak

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. - Safety Kyzir White makes it another White from West Virginia University selected in the NFL Draft.
The Macungie, Pennsylvania, resident was taken by the Los Angeles Chargers with the 19thpick in the fourth round (119 overall) this afternoon on day three of the annual event.
The safety now joins his older brother Kevin in the NFL; the elder White was taken in the first round by the Chicago Bears in 2015.
Kyzir started all 25 games he played at West Virginia in 2016-17 after transferring from Lackawanna (Pennsylvania) College where he earned all-conference honors.
His best season at WVU came last year when he produced 94 tackles, 7 ½ tackles for losses and three interceptions to earn All-Big 12 second team honors.
He finished 13thin the conference in total tackles and had 10 or more stops in the final three games of his Mountaineer career against Texas, Oklahoma and Utah in Zaxby's Heart of Dallas Bowl.
White's 10 tackles against the Longhorns were all unassisted.
During his junior season in 2016 he appeared in 12 out of 13 games, missing the Baylor contest with a hand injury. White had a pair of sacks and forced a fumble in West Virginia's big road win at Texas and finished the season with seven tackles for losses.
His two-year Mountaineer totals include 152 total tackles, five sacks, three interceptions and nine pass breakups.
White extends West Virginia's streak of players being drafted to 11 straight years, including all seven under current coach Dana Holgorsen.
He makes 20 Holgorsen-coached Mountaineer players drafted by NFL teams since 2012.
Update: According to published reports, the following West Virginia University football players have signed free agent contracts after the conclusion of the NFL Draft on Saturday - fullback Elijah Wellman (Washington Redskins), linebacker Al-Rasheed Benton (Detroit Lions), cornerback Elijah Battle (Arizona Cardinals), wide receiver Ka'Raun White (Seattle Seahawks) and offensive guard Kyle Bosch (Carolina Panthers).
Long snapper Nick Meadows has received a mini camp invitation from the Indianapolis Colts.
Running back Justin Crawford and cornerback Mike Daniels Jr. are also expected to sign free agent deals.
Meanwhile, former WVU receiver and first-round draft pick Tavon Austin was traded by the Los Angeles Rams to the Dallas Cowboys during Saturday's draft.
