Sills V Named to AFCA All-America Team

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. - West Virginia senior receiver David Sills V was named to the American Football Coaches Association's All-America Second Team, as announced today by the organization.
In 2018, Sills V also was selected to the Walter Camp Football Foundation Second Team and the Associated Press Third Team. He was named to the All-Big 12 Conference First Team for the second consecutive year and was a semifinalist for the Biletnikoff Award, given to the nation's top receiver.
He led the Mountaineers in 2018 with 61 catches and 15 touchdowns and was second on the team with 896 receiving yards. He is the only player at West Virginia to finish two different seasons with at least 15 receiving touchdowns.
In 2017, Sills V tied for the national lead with 18 receiving touchdowns and had 60 catches for 980 yards. He was named to 10 All-America teams, including three first-team selections, five second-team and two third-team honors. He was a finalist for the Biletnikoff Award.
Over his career at WVU, he finished with 100 or more yards in seven games and had 12 multiple touchdown games.
Preparations are underway for No. 15 West Virginia's Camping World Bowl meeting against No. 17-ranked Syracuse in Orlando, Florida, on Friday, Dec. 28.
The game will kick off at 5:15 p.m. and will be televised nationally on ESPN.
