MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Four from the West Virginia University women's soccer team were named to the United Soccer Coaches All-Midwest Region First Team.
 
Senior defenders Bianca St. Georges and Easther Mayi Kith, senior forward Sh'Nia Gordon and junior goalkeeper Rylee Foster landed on the region's top squad, giving WVU, the 2018 Big 12 Conference champions, four first-team honorees for the first time in program history. All four Mountaineers are now eligible for United Soccer Coaches All-America honors.
 
Foster's first-team recognition is her second in as many seasons, while St. Georges was named to the second team in 2017. This year's awards are the first career honors for Gordon and Mayi Kith.
 
A native of Cambridge, Ontario, Foster has earned all-region accolades each year at WVU, as she was named to the second team as a freshman. She played all 23 matches between the posts this year and earned credit for 11 of WVU's 12 shutouts, ranking No. 2 in the Big 12 Conference and No. 6 nationally with the fifth-best season total in program history. Foster allowed just 13 goals for a 0.55 goals-against average (GAA), also the second-best mark in the Big 12 and No. 14 in the NCAA and good for No. 6 in program history.
 
A 2018 All-Big 12 First Team honoree and a candidate for the 2018 Missouri Athletic Club (MAC) Hermann Trophy, Foster ranks No. 4 among active NCAA players with 31 career shutouts and No. 6 with a career GAA of 0.55.
 
Two-time team captain St. Georges, a native of St. Felix de Valois, Quebec, is the 2018 Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year. Not only did she help the WVU backline post 12 clean sheets, but she also finished the season ranked No. 2 on the team with seven goals and 14 points, both single season career-best showings. St. Georges tallied a pair of braces in wins over No. 13 Texas and Oklahoma, and her five goals against Big 12 opponents ranked No. 2 in the conference, while her 10 points ranked No. 3. She finished the 2018 season a perfect five-for-five from the penalty line, the best mark nationally.
 
A two-time All-Big 12 First Team honoree, St. Georges is a finalist for the Senior CLASS Award and a candidate for the MAC Hermann Trophy.
 
A four-year starter at center back, Mayi Kith finished her Mountaineer career ranked No. 4 in career starts (89) and No. 5 in career matches played (93). An integral part of WVU's 12 shutouts, she helped the Mountaineers post three straight clean sheets at the 2018 Big 12 Soccer Championship en route to Most Outstanding Defensive Player accolades.
 
A native of Quebec City, Quebec, Mayi Kith was a candidate for the Senior CLASS Award and an All-Big 12 First Team honoree.
 
Gordon finished her final season at WVU as the team's top point earner, tallying a career single-season high nine goals and dishing out two assists for 20 points. The goal and point totals ranked No. 5 in the Big 12. Four of her scores were game-winners, the third-best mark in the Big 12.
 
An All-Big 12 First Team honoree and the Big 12 Championship Most Outstanding Offensive Player, Gordon started all 95 career matches, the best mark in program history. She leaves WVU with 65 career points (25 G, 15 A).
