MORGANTOWN, W.Va.  – West Virginia University senior safety Kyzir White has accepted an invitation to participate in the Reese's Senior Bowl on Saturday, Jan. 27, at Ladd-Peebles Stadium in Mobile, Alabama, as announced, today, by the organization.
 
White will be the 53rd WVU football player to play in the Senior Bowl since fullback Tommy Allman played in the 1954 game, and the 13th Mountaineer since 2010.

The Senior Bowl, which will be televised on the NFL Network at 2:30 p.m., ET, is the nation's most unique football game and football's premier senior showcase event. It annually features the country's best senior collegiate football players and top NFL draft prospects on teams representing the North and South that are coached by the entire coaching staffs of two National Football League teams.
 
The Houston Texans, led by their fourth-year head coach Bill O'Brien, will guide the South team, while Vance Joseph, in his first year as head coach of the Denver Broncos, will guide the North.
 
White, a SBNation All-American honorable mention and All-Big 12 second-team selection, was the second-leading tackler on the team with 94 stops, including 7.5 for loss and 66 solo tackles. He also tied for the team lead in interceptions (3), had four pass breakups and led the team with two forced fumbles.
 
White had a career-high 13 tackles against Utah in the Zaxby's Heart of Dallas Bowl and collected 10 or more tackles in the final three games of the 2017 season. He had a career-high 10 solo tackles against Texas,  finished with seven or more tackles in eight games and had at least one tackle for loss in six games.
