Fernandez to Miss Remainder of 2017

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – West Virginia University junior midfielder Patricia Fernandez underwent ACL reconstructive surgery on Friday, Sept. 8, to her left knee. She will miss the remainder of the 2017 season.
A native of Pearland, Texas, Fernandez injured her knee in the first half of the No. 3-ranked Mountaineers' 2-1 victory over No. 1 Penn State on Saturday, Sept. 2. She has played in 27 career matches and has one career start to her name.
