WVU Hosts Charleston in Exhibition Match

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University men's soccer team welcomes in-state opponent Charleston to Dick Dlesk Soccer Stadium for an exhibition match on Saturday, Aug. 18, at 3 p.m. ET.
In the only exhibition contest of the preseason for the Mountaineers, the two teams will play for approximately 180 minutes, the equivalent of two matches. Admission will be free for all fans at Dick Dlesk Soccer Stadium, and fans will have the opportunity to pick up the official 2017 schedule poster.
West Virginia opened preseason training on Aug. 8 and hosted its annual Gold/Blue Intrasquad on Aug. 13.
Up next, the Mountaineers open the 2017 season with a trip to California for a pair of contests. The regular-season commences at Cal on Aug. 25, before a match at Santa Clara on Aug. 27.
WVU returns to Morgantown for the home opener on Friday, Sept. 1, at 7 p.m. ET against Wright State.
WVU Soccer Scarf ticket packages are now on sale, which includes the official 2017 WVU soccer scarf and 10 tickets to be used at any men's or women's soccer match during the 2017 regular season.
