Saunders To Medically Redshirt

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (June 5, 2017) – West Virginia University football coach Dana Holgorsen has announced that redshirt sophomore quarterback Cody Saunders will medically redshirt in 2017 and finish his degree.

“Cody has a medical issue that is keeping him from playing quarterback,” Holgorsen said. “He is going to medically redshirt and will finish his degree. We would like to thank him for his contributions to Mountaineer Football.”

Saunders enrolled at West Virginia in January 2016 and was on the team for the 2016 season but did not play. He is currently pursuing a degree in management.
