Mountaineers Sit at No. 7

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. - The West Virginia University women's soccer team enters the 2017 NCAA Tournament ranked No. 7 in the United Soccer Coaches Poll.
The Mountaineers (15-3-2, 7-1-1) also ranked No. 7 last week and have resided within the top 10 all year.
Stanford (18-1), the overall No. 1 seed for the NCAA Tournament, again ranks No. 1, while North Carolina (15-2-2) sits at No. 2. Duke (19-2) ranks No. 3, UCLA (15-2-2) ranks No. 4 and South Carolina (15-2-1) sits at No. 5.
Texas A&M (17-2-1) ranks ahead of WVU at No. 6, and UCF (13-1-3) follows the Mountaineers at No. 8. USC (14-3-1) and Penn State (12-4-4) round out the top 10.
The Mountaineers rank No. 10 in the TopDrawerSoccer.com Women's Division I Top 25 National Rankings and No. 13 in the Soccer America Women's Top 25. Additionally, WVU ranked No. 7 in the final NCAA RPI of the season.
Competing in the NCAA Tournament for the 18th straight season, the Mountaineers earned a No. 2 seed and will face Bucknell in the opening round on Saturday, Nov. 11, at 1 p.m., at Dick Dlesk Soccer Stadium.
Tickets for Saturday's match are on sale now at WVUGAME.com. Tickets are $7 for adults, $5 for students and youth and $2 for groups of 10 or more. WVU students will be admitted for free with a valid WVU student I.D.
