MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – For the third straight season, five from the West Virginia University women's soccer team have earned United Soccer Coaches All-Region honors.
Senior forward Michaela Abam, senior defender Amandine Pierre-Louis and sophomore goalkeeper Rylee Foster were named to the All-South Region First Team, while senior midfielder Carla Portillo and junior defender Bianca St. Georges were named to the second team.
The five honors match a program record, first set in 2007 and again achieved in 2015 and 2016. The three first-team accolades also match a program record (2007, 2013, 2015, 2016).
Abam, Pierre-Louis and Foster are now eligible for United Soccer Coaches All-America honors. Abam was named to the second team in 2016.
