MORGANTOWN, W.Va.
– Promotions for several of the West Virginia University wrestling team's six home duals were announced by the WVU Athletic Marketing Office on Friday.
The Mountaineers open their 2017-18 home season against highly touted Nebraska on Saturday, Nov. 25, and it is the first of two Dollar Days planned for the year. All tickets and select concessions will be available for $1 each. Additionally, the first 150 fans in attendance will receive a free WVU WWE style t-shirt.
Dollar Day promotions also are scheduled for the North Dakota State match on Sunday, Jan. 7, at 7 p.m.
Prior to West Virginia's match vs. Pitt on Saturday, Dec. 9, the Mountaineers will put on a free youth clinic open to any and all entrants in eighth grade and below. All participants are admitted free, with the match set to begin at 2 p.m. A registration form can be found at

Family Day is scheduled for the 7 p.m. Oklahoma match on Thursday, Jan. 4. Families can purchase four tickets and a $15 concession voucher for $25. The Mountaineers last Dollar Day of the season will follow three days later, as the team takes on Big 12 foe North Dakota State in a 7 p.m. match on Sunday, Jan. 7.
The Mountaineers' annual Cradles for Cancer for breast cancer awareness is set for WVU's contest against South Dakota State on Feb. 11, at 2 p.m. WVU Medicine will be sponsoring the match and collecting donations to the WVU Cancer Institute. Fans are encouraged to wear pink to the match and can get the WVU sports official "pink" t-shirt with a donation of $10 or more to WVU Medicine. Mountaineer fans also can bring their valentine to the meet and get two tickets for the price of one.
West Virginia closes its regular-season slate against Clarion on Saturday, Feb. 18, at 2 p.m. It's Senior Day, and WVU will celebrate the careers of Jacob A. Smith and Parker VonEgidy following the match. Additionally, the Mountaineers will play host to their third Beauty and the Beast event, as the WVU wrestling and gymnastics teams set to compete at the same time. It's also "Mountaineer Kids Club Day," as all kids club members will be invited to an exclusive event.
Single-match tickets are available at a cost of $5 for general admission and $3 for youth and seniors. Groups of 10 or more can purchase tickets for $2 each. Tickets are available by visiting

Looking ahead, the Mountaineers will travel to St. Charles, Missouri, for the Lindenwood Open on Saturday, Nov. 18, before returning home for their dual match against the Huskers. The tournament is set to begin at 8 a.m. ET.
