"Sunday is huge," Mountaineer coach
Nikki Izzo-Brown said. "It's Senior Day, and we have great seniors on this team. We need everyone to come out and send these seniors off right. Obviously, we're vying for a conference championship with two games left, and we have to get a win."
The Mountaineers are 6-1-1 all-time against the Horned Frogs. WVU earned the upper hand twice in 2016, including a comeback, 3-2 (OT) win in the Big 12 Conference Soccer Championship Final on Nov. 6, at Swope Soccer Village in Kansas City, Missouri. After falling behind 2-0, Abam put the Mountaineers on the board in the 59th minute before All-Americans
Kadeisha Buchanan and
Ashley Lawrence tallied the equalizer and the game-winner in the 89th and 97th minutes, respectively. The WVU defense held TCU to seven shots, with only four on-frame.
In their last meeting in Morgantown, WVU scored a 2-1 victory over TCU on Oct. 2, 2015. Abam tallied the game-winner in the 82nd minute, and the Mountaineers finished with a 22-3 edge in shots.
The Mountaineers are coming off a 1-1 (2OT) draw against Texas Tech on Oct. 19. Pierre-Louis found the back of the net with 54 seconds remaining in the first half, but the Red Raiders evened the score off a free kick in the 61st minute. WVU finished with a 35-11 edge in shots, and sophomore
Rylee Foster made two second-half saves. The draw was WVU's first in a Big 12 regular-season match since 2015.
Abam paces the Mountaineers with 13 points (5 G, 3 A), and junior forward Sh'Nia Gordon ranks No. 2 with 11 points, including a team-best seven assists. Kaleiohi and Pierre-Louis each show nine points on four goals and one assist.

Freshman midfielder Yazmeen Ryan's goal in the 98th minute pushed TCU to a 1-0 (OT) win at Iowa State on Oct. 19. It was the Horned Frogs' fourth overtime victory of the season. The shutout was the team's eighth of the year, matching the school record. Sophomore Katie Lund made one save, and TCU finished with a 21-4 edge in shots and placed five on-frame.
