Gold Rush, Light Show, Red Panda for Kansas Game
January 22, 2017 08:28 PM | Men's Basketball
Tuesday's sold out Kansas-WVU men's basketball game is a Gold Rush, presented by H&R Block. All fans are encouraged to wear gold for the matchup with the second-ranked Jayhawks.
Mountaineer fans are also going to get to be apart of the pregame show by using their smartphones when the lights go out at the Coliseum for the national anthem and team introductions. Fans need to download the free "Human Video Board" app and enter their seat location before coming to the game to prevent possible connectivity issues. There will also be instructions in seats on game day that explain how to use the 'Human Video Board' app. To participate, fans should be in their seat ready before 6:55 p.m.
Then at halftime, the 2017 debut of the Coca-Cola halftime series features one of the nation’s top performers, the Red Panda Acrobat, in her return to the WVU Coliseum. Red Panda, a Guinness World Record holder, flips several bowls at a time onto her head while riding a seven-foot unicycle around the court.
The game will be televised on ESPN and the network's Dick Vitale will be on the broadcast, his first appearance at the WVU Coliseum since the 2009 season.
