MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Former West Virginia University baseball student-athletes are welcomed back to Morgantown for the 2016 Alumni Weekend, which culminates with an alumni game on Sunday, October 23, at 11 a.m. ET at Monongalia County Ballpark.
The annual Alumni Weekend will unofficially begin the celebration of 125 years of WVU baseball throughout the 2017 season.
“We are looking forward to a fun-filled weekend with our alumni back in town,” WVU coach Randy Mazey said. “It’s going to be a great weekend for former Mountaineers to reconnect with teammates and relive their WVU memories. I’m really excited to help welcome everyone back to Morgantown.”
To RSVP, and for more information about Alumni Weekend, WVU baseball alumni should contact Director of Baseball Operations Donnie Platt at deplatt@mail.wvu.edu or 304-293-4740.
Along with the alumni game, festivities include a dinner and reception at coach Randy Mazey’s house on Friday night and a Varsity Club tailgate before the WVU-TCU football game on Saturday. The weekend begins for the alumni watching the final game of the WVU baseball team’s fall World Series.
