Men’s Soccer to Hold Open Tryouts

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University men’s soccer team will hold walk-on tryouts for the 2016 season on Wednesday, August 31, for WVU students interested in joining the team.
Registration will begin at 3:30 p.m., and the tryout will begin at 4 p.m. The tryout will take place at the men’s soccer practice field. The practice field is located west of the WVU Coliseum, adjacent to the Mountaineer Tennis Courts and Hawley Field. Students must wear shin guards and athletic gear in order to participate.
Interested students must be enrolled full-time (minimum of 12 credits each semester) at WVU and have remaining NCAA eligibility. Participants must present the following documentation at the tryout:
1. Proof of Insurance
2. Completed physical (physical must be within the last six months)
3. Proof of Registration as a WVU Student (e.g., printout of class schedule or letter from the registrar)
4. Completed Compliance Form (Attached)
