Updated: Changes Announced to 2016 Schedule

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Three changes have been made to the 2016 West Virginia University men’s soccer schedule, two to exhibition matches and one to a road contest.

WVU will open the exhibition season with the annual Gold/Blue Intrasuqad, which will now take place on Friday, August 12 at 7 p.m. ET. The scrimmage was originally set for August 14.

The exhibition match vs. Pitt on Tuesday, August 16 will now be played at 2:30 p.m. in conjunction with WVU Welcome Week. The Backyard Brawl at Dick Dlesk Soccer Stadium was originally scheduled for 7 p.m.

WVU has also added a home exhibition contest against host in-state foe Charleston on Tuesday, August 23 at 7 p.m.

The Mountaineers’ match at Mid-American Conference rival Akron has been moved to Saturday, October 22 at 7:30 p.m. ET. The contest was originally set for Friday.
