MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Single game tickets for 2016 West Virginia University baseball home games are on sale now. Fans can join the excitement of WVU baseball and contribute to the home field advantage at Monongalia County Ballpark by calling 1-800-WVU GAME, purchasing tickets online at
WVUGAME.com or visiting the Mountaineer Ticket Office at the WVU Coliseum.
For the 30-game home schedule, single game tickets purchased in advance are $7 for reserved seating in the five sections behind home plate and $6 behind the first and third base dugouts. Additionally, groups of 20 or more can purchase tickets at a $2 discount per ticket at each price point when purchased in advance.
Several discounted ticket options are also available. Tickets for seniors and youth (18 and under) are $5 when purchased at the ballpark ticket office on gameday.

The Mountaineers will play 30 home games at Monongalia County Ballpark, BaseballParks.com’s Ballpark of the Year for 2015. It is the most home games since WVU played 32 home contests in 2008. The Mountaineers play 10 home games against teams that made the 2015 NCAA Tournament. West Virginia also will host six games against three teams that won their conference championships a year ago.
The 30-game home schedule includes weekend series against reigning Big 12 Tournament champion Texas, as well as Oklahoma State, ranked in the preseason top 25, Baylor and Kansas State. WVU also hosts nonconference matchups vs. Marshall, Pitt, Maryland and Virginia Tech. All but six home games, and every Big 12 game, will be played in April and May.
WVU returns to Monongalia County Ballpark after a total of 33,158 fans, an average of over 1,500 per game, cheered on the Mountaineers in the park’s inaugural season.
A steady climb in attendance in WVU’s first three seasons in the Big 12 Conference has proved a pivotal home field advantage. In the Mountaineers’ first three seasons in the league, coach Randy Mazey has guided the team to a winning record at home and a Big 12 Championship berth in each season.
