In this week’s report, Mountaineer rookies stood out once again. Carolina’s Daryl Worley led the Panthers with a team-best 11 tackles, while Oakland defensive back Karl Joseph paced the Raiders defense with seven stops. Meanwhile, Chicago’s Nick Kwiatkoski registered two tackles and forced a fumble in the Bears win over Minnesota.

Tavon Austin made a season-high 10 catches for 57 yards and a touchdown in Los Angeles’ 17-10 loss to the New York Giants in London on Oct. 23. Austin rushed one time for 10 yards and returned three punts for an average of 9.3 yards per return. Austin scored the TD in the first quarter as quarterback Case Keenum found him for a 10-yard strike. The Rams (3-4) return from the open week to play host to Carolina (2-5) on Sunday, Nov. 6.

Despite reports of a hip injury earlier in the week, Terence Garvin played 20 snaps in Washington’s 27-27 draw with Cincinnati in London on Sunday. The Redskins (4-3-1) enter the open week and return to play host to Minnesota (5-1) on Sunday, Nov. 13.

Mark Glowinski played on 66 snaps in Seattle’s 25-20 setback at New Orleans on Sunday. The Seahawks (4-2-1) aim to get back on track in a Monday, Nov. 7, tilt against Buffalo (4-4) in Seattle.

Najee Goode saw action on 25 special teams snaps, as Philadelphia dropped a 29-23 overtime decision at Dallas on Sunday. The Eagles (4-3) visit the New York Giants (4-3) in a critical NFC East showdown on Sunday, Nov. 6.

Bruce Irvin recorded four tackles, including a tackle for loss, in Oakland’s 30-24 overtime win at Tampa Bay. In eight games this season, Irvin has tallied 22 tackles with a career-high four forced fumbles. Irvin is part of a Raiders squad that is 5-0 on the road for the first time since 1977. Oakland (6-2) plays host to Denver (6-2) in a big AFC West showdown on Sunday, Nov. 6.

Will Johnson signed a free agent contract with the New York Giants in April. Johnson had played in 47 straight games in the regular season with the Steelers, which was the third-longest active streak among NFL fullbacks. However, he suffered an injury early in the preseason and was placed on the Giants injured reserve list.

Adam Jones tallied four tackles in Cincinnati’s 27-27 draw with Washington on Sunday in London, England. The 10-year pro has 32 tackles, four pass deflections, an interception and a forced fumble in eight games. Jones is nine tackles away from reaching 450 in his career. Cincinnati (3-4-1) enters the open week and will return to action at the New York Giants (4-3) on Monday, Nov. 14.

Pat McAfee registered a net average of 38.6 yards on seven punt attempts in the Colts 30-14 loss to Kansas City. The eight-year pro is averaging his second-best career net average of 42.3 yards per punt. His career-best of 42.8 yards per punt came during the 2014 campaign. Charles Sims was placed on injured reserve on Monday, Oct. 10, after suffering a knee injury at Denver on Oct. 2. Sims, who was tabbed the starting running back after an injury to Doug Martin, ran 41 times for 116 yards and one touchdown and caught 14 passes for 112 yards and a touchdown in four games.

Worley has 28 tackles, three pass deflections and a sack in seven games played this season. His 28 tackles are fourth-most for the Panthers. Carolina (2-5) visits Los Angeles (3-4) on Sunday, Nov. 6.
