MORGANTOWN, W.Va. - Undefeated West Virginia continues its climb in the college football polls.
This week, the Mountaineers, 34-10 winners over TCU on Saturday afternoon in Morgantown, are now No. 9 in the Amway Top 25 Coaches Poll and No. 10 in the Associated Press Top 25 Poll, released earlier this afternoon.
That’s a jump of four spots in the coaches poll and two spots in the AP poll from last week.
It’s West Virginia’s first appearance in the Top 10 since October 7, 2012 when the Mountaineers were ranked fifth after a 5-0 start to the season.
West Virginia’s 6-0 start this year is its best since 2006 when the Mountaineers were 7-0 before losing at Louisville in a battle of top 5 teams to begin the month of November. West Virginia finished that season with an 11-2 record and defeated Georgia Tech in the Gator Bowl.
WVU’s game this Saturday at 5-2 Oklahoma State will kickoff at noon and will be televised nationally on Fox.
There are tickets left for the Mountaineers’ final three remaining home games of the season against Kansas on Saturday, November 5, against No. 15 Oklahoma on Saturday, November 19, and against No. 6 Baylor on Saturday, December 3.
Visit the Mountaineer Ticket Office online by logging on to WVUGAME.com or by calling the Mountaineer Ticket Office toll-free at 1-800-WVU GAME.
The Mountaineer Ticket Office, located in the WVU Coliseum, is open Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
