Numerous Alums Returning for Sunday’s Alumni Game

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University baseball team will hold its annual Alumni Game on Sunday, October 23, at 11 a.m. ET, with a star-studded cast of alumni expected back in Morgantown.
More than 30 WVU baseball alumni are expected for the game, which will be held at Monongalia County Ballpark with free admission for all fans. For fans unable to attend the game, it will be streamed live on the team’s Facebook page. Fans can follow WVU Baseball at Facebook.com/WVUBaseball.
The alumni team will be coached by Jedd Gyorko, a current member of the St. Louis Cardinals and a Mountaineer from 2008-10. The alumni team includes players from five different decades, spanning from 1957 all the way to five members of the 2016 squad. The alumni team also includes seven players that played professionally in 2016.
In Sunday’s annual Alumni Game, the alumni will face off against the current WVU baseball team.

Along with the alumni game, festivities include a dinner and reception at coach Randy Mazey’s house on Friday night and a Varsity Club tailgate before the WVU-TCU football game on Saturday.
