Parking Adjustments for Weekend Soccer Matches
September 18, 2015 11:40 AM | Women's Soccer
MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Due to a concert at the WVU Coliseum Friday evening and the Morgantown Marathon on Sunday, several parking changes will be in place for the Sept. 18 and Sept. 20 West Virginia University women’s and men’s soccer matches.
Fans are only permitted to park in the lower Shell/Natatorium lot/Band lot, adjacent to the track, for all three weekend matches. This lot will only be accessible off Monongahela Blvd. on Sunday. Parking and access to the upper Coliseum parking lots from the Patteson Drive and Evansdale Drive/Arboretum entrances is prohibited Sunday.
The Morgantown Marathon and Half Marathon will start from the Coliseum parking lot at 7 a.m. Sunday. The finish line also is located in the Coliseum parking lot. A post-race celebration will be held in the Coliseum parking lot following the race at 11 a.m.
Fans are encouraged to arrive early for the soccer games in light of this simultaneous event.
The No. 4/7 WVU women’s soccer team closes out its nonconference season with two matches at Dick Dlesk Soccer Stadium. The Mountaineers (7-1) play host to Buffalo on Friday at 7 p.m., and Florida Gulf Coast on Sunday at 1 p.m.
Sunday is a double-header, and the WVU men’s team (2-4) will face Georgetown at 4 p.m. It is a “Dollar Day” for both games, and all tickets and select concession items are available for $1 each.
Tickets for all three matches are available at WVUGAME.com and also can be purchased at the stadium gate.
A free shuttle bus will be available from the Mountainlair and the Brooke/Braxton Towers loop for an hour leading up to Sunday’s start time. Return service to the Mountainlair and the Brooke/Braxton Towers loop also will be available for an hour at the conclusion of the men’s match.
