Liesa Seifert joined the WVU women's soccer program as the team's graduate assistant in 2019. Her responsibilities include assisting the coaching staff with training sessions, film preparation and organizing team travel.
Prior to coming to WVU, Seifert spent two years playing Division I soccer at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, where she helped the team win the Sun Belt Conference Tournament in 2018. That year, she was honored on the All-Sun Belt First Team, Sun Belt All-Tournament Team and the United Soccer Coaches All-Region Team. She graduated in 2019 with a Bachelor of Business Administration in International Business.
Before her time at Little Rock, Seifert played at some of the highest levels of German soccer, seeing time on the U-17, U-19 and U-20 German Youth National Teams. She won the bronze medal at the U-17 European Championship in 2011 with Germany and was part of Germany’s extended U-20 National World Cup team in 2014.
Along with National Team experience, Seifert also has experience in the professional ranks. She won the U-17 German National Championship in 2010 and 2011 with 1. FFC Turbine Potsdam and won the 2. Bundesliga crown in 2012 and 2014. She played over 100 games in the 2. Bundesliga in Germany.
Seifert is currently pursuing her Master’s Degree in Sport Management & Athletic Coaching Education at WVU.
