- Won an 8-2 decision over Oklahoma’s Mike Longo, as the Mountaineers defeated the No. 18-ranked Sooners for the first time in 32 years (Jan. 4)
- Collected a 13-3 major decision over North Dakota State’s McGwuire Midkiff, helping WVU top its third top-25 team of the season (Jan. 7)
- Earned his first victory over a ranked opponent, defeating No. 16 Kanen Storr of Iowa State in a 9-7 decision in sudden victory (Jan. 21)
- Posted a 9-1 major decision over Northern Colorado’s Ben Polkowske (Feb. 3)
- Claimed a 2-1 decision over Edinboro’s Nate Hagan (Feb. 15)
- Went 2-2 at the Big 12 Championship, claiming major decisions over Midkiff and Polkowske (March 3-4)
