Pat Crowe joined to the West Virginia baseball program as the director of operations in the summer of 2017 and brings several years of experience with Major League Baseball organizations to the Mountaineers.

Crowe’s responsibilities include managing the day-to-day operation of the WVU baseball program, organizing all aspects of the team’s travel and coordinating community outreach work and fundraising opportunities. Crowe also schedules on-campus visits by recruits and manages the team’s budget.

Crowe came to WVU after two seasons as the assistant director of baseball operations at Nebraska. With the Cornhuskers from 2015-17, Crowe assisted with the operations of the program, including video coordination, opponent scouting and recruiting.

Prior to his time at Nebraska, Crowe was an associate scout with the Chicago Cubs in 2014, where his primary responsibilities were scouting high school prospects in the northeast.

Crowe spent three seasons in player development with three MLB clubs. He began as a player development intern in 2012 with the Baltimore Orioles, a position he also held in 2013 with the Philadelphia Phillies. In 2014, Crowe was a Player Development Assistant with the Pittsburgh Pirates.

A right-handed pitcher at Salem Community College and Eastern Mennonite University, Crowe earned his bachelor’s degree in sports management from EMU in 2010. He received his master’s degree in athletic coaching education from West Virginia University in 2013. Crowe originally hails from San Diego, California.
