MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University volleyball team (8-3, 1-0 Big 12) faces another ranked foe on Sunday, Sept. 27, hosting No. 11 TCU (10-2, 1-0 Big 12) at Hope Coliseum. First serve is set for 1 p.m. ET.

The Mountaineers are coming off the highest-ranked win in program history, defeating No. 9 Arizona State in five sets on Friday. The victory marked WVU's sixth top 25 win in the 53-year history of the program, with two coming under head coach Jen Greeny.

West Virginia entered the week ranked No. 4 in the conference in team kills. Senior outside hitter Nina Horning leads the Mountaineers with 171 kills this season, while sophomore right side Anna Barr is hitting a team-best .308 with 117 kills. Senior setter Alexis Finnvold paces the WVU offense with a team-high 343 assists.

Defensively, WVU ranked No. 2 in the Big 12 in total blocks and No. 3 in team digs. Freshman defensive specialist/libero Reagan Turk leads the Mountaineers with 171 digs, while senior middle blocker Maddy McGath and freshman middle blocker Mirjam Karoliine Kask share the team lead with 53 blocks apiece.

TCU started conference play with 3-0 win over Cincinnati on Friday. The Horned Frogs came out of nonconference play ranked No. 3 nationally in kills per set and No. 5 in assists per set.

Senior outside hitter Becca Kelley and junior outside hitter Evan Hendrix lead the TCU attack with 173 and 168 kills, respectively. Hendrix ranks No. 25 nationally with 4.22 kills per set, while freshman middle blocker Kinsley Young leads the Horned Frogs with a .406 hitting percentage, which ranks No. 30 in the country.

On the defensive side, Young is the Horned Frogs' block leader with 1.33 per set to rank No. 50 in the country. Junior defensive specialist/libero Alice Volpe anchors the team's digs with 4.21 per set.

The match marks the 27th all-time meeting between West Virginia and TCU. The Horned Frogs lead the series, 17-9, which dates back to 2009. Greeny is 0-2 against TCU, while WVU holds a 7-6 advantage in Morgantown.
