
Mountaineers Set for YSU Collegiate Invitational

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (Jan. 15, 2026) – The West Virginia University track and field team will continue its indoor season on Friday, competing at the YSU Collegiate Invitational, hosted by Youngstown State University in Youngstown, Ohio. The meet marks the Mountaineers' second of three trips to Youngstown during the indoor season.
Fridays meet is set to start at 12 p.m. Live Results will be available at WVUsports.com.
West Virginia enters the meet following a standout showing at the Sharon Colyear-Danville Season Opener. In the 5,000 meter, Joy Naukot set a new program record, while Lexi Lamb recorded the second-fastest time in program history.
The Mountaineers also found success earlier this season at the Youngstown Icebreaker, highlighted by a sweep of the top two spots in the mile by Tecla Lokrale and Aislinn Frazer. WVU also claimed victories in the 3,000 meter behind Kishay Rowe and in the high jump by Annishka McDonald
