FARMINGTON, Pa. – Kaleb Wilson and the West Virginia University golf team repeated as champions of the second annual Nemacolin Collegiate Invitational at Mystic Rock Golf Course in Farmington, Pennsylvania.
 
Wilson shot rounds of 68-68-69=205 to finish 11-under-par and lead the Mountaineers to a 36-under-par team score, 18 shots ahead of second-place Western Carolina in the 19-team field. Wilson won the same tournament last year, shooting 7-under-par. Wilson and Vaughn McMeans of George Mason were co-medalists this year.
 
Wilson won for the second time in his career, and he becomes the fifth two-time winner in school history.
 
Nick Turowski finished in the top five for the third consecutive tournament with a third-place finish at -8 (73-66-69=208). Ryan Leach posted a top five finish with rounds of 64-74-73=209 (-7). Westy McCabe finished 14^th at 4-under-par with rounds of 74-71-67=212, while Jack Michael finished in 19^th place with rounds of 75-71-68=214 (-2).
 
As a team, the Mountaineers won for the second time in three events this season. After three events, West Virginia has a record of 41-2-0.
 
Playing as individuals, Gabe Schmitz finished 19^th with rounds of 73-68-73-214 (-2), Aidan Dortch finished 31^st with rounds of 73-72-72=217 (+1), Brody Burgess finished 44^th with rounds of 73-72-74=219 (+3) and Harrison Thompson finished 69^th with rounds of 73-74-78=225 (+9).

"I'm extremely proud of this team," coach Sean Covich said. They work hard and fight for every shot. This was a team effort, everyone played a big role in this outcome and it was fun to watch. Obviously, Kaleb played great, coming up clutch in the closing stretch, but everyone had a great week that led to this performance."
 
The Mountaineers will be back in action on Monday and Tuesday at the Cullan Brown Collegiate in Lexington, Kentucky.
