MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University tennis team began competition at the Bedford Cup, held in College Park, Maryland.
 

All Mountaineers the competed today in singles competition advanced to the semifinals of their respective draws.
 
Lyla Byers withdrew after sustaining an injury in the opening round, but the remainder of the Mountaineers secured victories to move on. Audrey Moutama, Zuzana Saxana Kudlácková and Julie Bousseau each posted strong performances to reach Saturday's semifinal rounds.
 
Round One Singles Results
