MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – West Virginia University women's soccer coach
Nikki Izzo-Brown has announced the addition of defender Christina Salama to the 2025 fall roster.
A native of Montreal, Quebec, Canada, Salama will arrive in Morgantown after spending the 2024 season at Purdue. She will join the Mountaineer roster as a redshirt freshman.
Prior to her time in West Lafayette, Salama attended École Secondaire Des Sources in Montreal and played club soccer at CF Montreal for coach Julie Casselman. With CF Montreal, she competed at the regional tournament in 2018 and 2019. Salama also was invited to a Canada U-20 National Team Training Camp. She played at the National Development Center for five years, where she had the opportunity to play Paris Saint-Germain in France in 2023.
Additionally, she was recognized with academic scholarships two years in a row while attending École Secondaire Des Sources in Montreal.
The daughter of Maged Salama and Nermine Simo, Salama plans to major in general business at WVU.
