MORGANTOWN, W.Va. –
The West Virginia University swimming and diving team finished the second night of competition on Wednesday at the 2025 Big 12 Swimming and Diving Championships at Weyerhaeuser Aquatic Center in Federal Way, Washington.
The Mountaineers posted multiple top 10 times in prelims to begin the day with senior
Conner McBeth leading the way in the men's 50-yard freestyle. McBeth touched the wall at 19.65, marking the fourth-fastest time in the event in program history.
McBeth qualified for the B final, placing fourth with a final time of 19.73. Redshirt senior
Danny Berlitz also posted a top 10 time during prelims as he finished at 19.83. That marked the seventh-fastest time in program history.
On the women's side, junior
Olivia Busch placed second in the B final of the women's 500-yard freestyle with a final time of 4:50.72. That time is the ninth-fastest in program history.
Senior
Morgan Burton posted a top 10 time in the women's 200-yard individual medley as she finished at 2:02.51. That marks the eighth-fastest time in program history for that event.
In the diving well, sophomore
Owen Recker placed third in the B final with a total score of 323.60.
West Virginia will compete on Thursday at 1 p.m. EST for prelims and 9 p.m. for finals. Both sessions will be on ESPN+.
