MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University baseball team is set for its home opener against Ohio, Wednesday afternoon at Kendrick Family Ballpark. First pitch is set for 2 p.m.

The first 250 fans to the game will receive a 2024 Tucson Regional Champions pennant.
West Virginia is 7-0 on the season after sweeping a four-game series at Lipscomb. Fifteen Mountaineer pitchers saw action against the Bisons and allowed just 10 runs in four games.
Senior
Kyle West, redshirt junior
Chase Swain, sophomore
Michael Perazza, and junior
Sam White all hit home runs against Lipscomb with White's coming in the 10
th inning of the series finale to secure the sweep.
Freshman
Mac Stiffler will get the ball for the Mountaineers against the Bobcats as he makes his first career start. Ohio has yet to announce a starter.

Ohio is led by fifth year head coach Craig Moore, who is 95-116 during his time in Athens. This season, the Bobcats are 1-5, winning one game in their series this past weekend against West Georgia.
Matt Ineich is hitting .474 with four stolen bases while Ben Slanker has two home runs. Pitcher Tyler Peck has thrown 4.1 innings in relief and has yet to allow a run while striking out five.
